GX9.6

The Gregoire GX9 large canopy grape harvester is available to purchase in Australia and ready to harvest. Gregoire’s engineering team listened to growers around the world, particularly in Australia and the USA, determining exactly what they needed in a grape harvester. The design requirement for the new Gregoire GX9 side arm destemmer machine is to handle large yielding, big canopy crops that can simply and efficiently destem fruit while a discharge arm deals with the long rows we have in both countries.   

Gregoire has implemented many changes from the existing G9.330 machine, such as a new cabin and driving system, as well as improving the picking head design and conveying system. The main change on the picking head was moving the picking posts forward, allowing the machine to pick faster. 

The EASYCLEAN destemming system is adapted from the GL Twin bin series; it  is easy to use and set up and requires very little maintenance. Testing in Australia and the USA produced outstanding results, with the new GX9 picking fruit using the destemmer at quantities up to 32 tonnes per hectare at a groundspeed of 3.2km/h. 

This  machine from Gregoire gives the owner flexibility, with the choice to pick fruit using the EASYCLEAN destemmer system or convert - with a flick of a switch - to a normal 4-5 fan machine. 

30 km Auto Drive 

Ο In road mode 30km/h is achievable. The engine RPM is automatically managed according to speed, resulting in lower fuel consumption and noise levels. In this mode all four wheels are powered for driver comfort and optimal road holding ability.

Auto Speed 

Ο AUTOspeed perfectly manages the working speed no matter the ground conditions. The dedicated command on the joystick allows the operator to set and retrieve a desired ground speed.

VARIwidth+

Ο The VARIwidth+ picking head is designed especially for wide trellis. The parallel expansion of the picking posts always keeps the same shape of the picking rod for the best picking result.

Easy Maintenance and Cleaning

Ο Maintenance is an integral part of the typical harvest day and the Gregoire design team ensured that all aspects of cleaning and maintenance operations are easy. An integrated washing line and separated control box to control harvester functions outside the cabin are all standard.

Large Picking Tunnel

Ο A 650mm picking tunnel on the GX9.6 enables the harvester to work in all kinds of vineyard configurations, from VSP to a sprawling canopy. 

Conveyor System

Ο Two large 32cm belts form a continuous loop to carry the harvest to the top of the machine. The pick will always lay flat on the belts so the fans can remove MOG whilst leaving the juice and berries. The conveyor pulleys are self-tensioning which ensures positive torque on the conveyor belt no matter the load or yield.

High Yield Arm

Ο The GX9.6 harvester comes in various configurations but in high yield wide canopies this is the system needed. Fruit falls directly over the top pulleys, falling onto a double cross conveyor. This system - combined with top fans - guarantees removal of MOG before harvest leaves on the stainless steel discharge arm.

Side Arm Easy Clean

Ο The new GX9.6 EASYclean destemmer with side arm is available. Testing in Australia and the USA produced outstanding results, with the new GX9 picking fruit using the destemmer at quantities up to 32 tonnes per hectare at a groundspeed of 3.2km/h. The simple EASYclean system from Gregoire eliminates 99.8% MOG, thereby allowing harvest to go from vine to tank.

Lighting

Ο The GX series are equipped with a total of 12 LED lights. With LED technology Gregoire harvesters emit of 18,000 lumens, turning night into day!

Large Cabin 

Ο The central position of the cab allows for perfect alignment on the row. A 360 degree view through the glass windows provides perfect visibility to all facets of the harvester. The cabin is suspended as standard and an optional CAT 4  pressurised cabin is available for spraying. 

Comfort Console

Ο The armrest control fitted to the GX is ergonomically designed to make operation of all functions at your fingertips. A new joystick can be rotated and is designed to perfectly fit your comfort and preference. 

Deutz Engine 

Ο The GX9.6 harvester is equipped with a 178 hp common rail Tier 3 Deutz engine that requires no AdBlue.

Ο EASYpilot automatically centers the harvester on the vine row without driver input. Using a 3D telemetric camera, EASYpilot works, no matter the season. It works with multi-function tools, harvesting or spraying, day or night. As opposed to a GPS guided system, EASYpilot can be use in a vineyard not covered by a GPS signal. Perfect centering on the row is a guarantee of optimal picking quality

Ο EASYturn reduces the steering wheel revolutions from lock to lock. This enables you to turn around quicker in the headlands. Combined with EASYpilot, steering on the GL & GX is quick, smooth and provides a perfect row following.

Ο GL & GX are equipped with two cameras. The 360° camera (option) shows on an additional color screen to provide a complete overhead view of the machine and its surroundings. EASY360 removes all blind spots and provides confidence to the operator during headland, bin dumping and loading maneuvers.
